As many of you know, I have been in Costa Rica for the last month undertaking a 200 hour Yoga Training course. I am now officially a yoga teacher and I am keen to begin teaching as soon as possible! Therefore, I will be offering 2 yoga classes before swim squad on Sunday 19 February and Sunday
26 of February. 5 March. (CANCELLED on 26 February due to rainy weather and lack of dry space).
Location : Shady part of the sundeck by the brick wall (subject to change depending on shade and size of group)
What to Bring: Yoga mat or extra towel, a towel, a tennis ball or massage ball, a belt, strap, or small towel, a pull buoy (extra pull buoys are available if you don’t have one)
Cost: Donations are gratefully accepted. (Pay what you can afford and what you feel is fair).
Type of Yoga: Since I have been nursing a shoulder injury since Dec 31 and doing research into Swimmer’s Shoulder as a physiotherapist, I will be incorporating some core shoulder exercises into the program and doing some gentle yoga with just a bit of flow / vinyasa so we are warmed up, but not exhausted for our swim session. No previous yoga experience is necessary!
If you plan on going to Terrigal, I will likely also offer a yoga class there – I’ll let you know the details once I’ve got that figured out!
